“The Spot” is a DIY skate park in North London. It was illegally built above an old water treatment centre which was ironically a Grade II listed heritage site. The local community came together, building bowls and ramps creating what they refer to as “...a concrete paradise”.
After hearing about the 15 year process that the community
have gone through we felt inspired
to adopt the same mentality, joining the community and becoming “Spot Locals” ourselves. We took on the roles of local
graphters and learnt the process of conservation through practise.
